Lidding as a Deformity

Lidding is characterized by the folding over of the superior third of the helical rim and occurs as both a deformity and as a malformation.

Fig 1, there isĀ absence or weakness in the upper third of the superior crus with a folding over of the helical rim. In Fig 2, there isĀ absence or weakness in the entire superior crus with folding over of the upper third of the ear (lop ear).
